Viet Nam is well- known as an
ideal destination that attracts many tourists all over the world. Impressed by
the friendliness of Vietnamese and the unique beauty of the landscapes,
tourists are fonder and fonder of Viet Nam and get there to enjoy their life.
It brings significant advantages to our country. However, there are still some
drawbacks of mass tourism that cannot be overlooked.
In one hand, the downsides of
mass tourism influence people life significantly. The very first consequence is
environmental pollution. Indeed, the more crowded tourists are, the more
polluted the environment is, especially raw sewage pollution. Next, we are in
danger by cultural assimilation. People can be attacked by the negative sides
like clothing, lifestyle and depraved cultures. At a result, it leads to fade
cultural identity. Last but not least, it threatens national security. It means
that it is hard to control tourists and their activities as well.
In contrast, if a country has
tourist attractions, it will become affluent and Viet Nam is no exception.
Firstly, mass tourism increases the job opportunities for local people. For
examples, they can earn money by selling souvenir, cuisines and traditional
stuffs. Even having chance to work as tour guide is possible. Secondly, it is a
good way to integrate Vietnamese culture with other cultures. Specifically,
exchanging the cultural specificity to each other to tie solidarity makes Viet
Nam friend of many countries. Moreover, the good image of the country will
spread everywhere. Finally, mass tourism contributes the country economy.
According to the ministry of tourism, tourism is sustainable development with
remarkable incomes each year. It not only helps country improve facilities,
boost economy but also stabilizes people life.
In conclusion, I suppose that
what mass tourism brings to life is more remarkable than its effect. We can do
good deeds to prevent the downsides and make tourism healthier and
better.
